DIASPORA: Alliance for Pan-African Success and Achievement

DIASPORA focuses on supporting Pan-African cultural diversity at the College Board. Members advocate for recruitment activities that reach the Pan-African community and organize networking opportunities and activities that highlight the achievements of Pan-Africans.

Recent DIASPORA-sponsored actions include:

  • Leading a number of College Board conversations in response to the killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, and the racial injustices these and other tragedies represent. The College Board has committed to listening to, learning from, and supporting our employees and the students we serve. Read our statement.
  • Talks by prominent Black professionals in higher education, including Dr. Marcia Chatelain of Georgetown University and Dillard University President Walter Kimbrough
  • Volunteer opportunities at local high schools
  • Screening and discussion of Suppressed 2020: The Fight to Vote
