The College Board, a national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Digital Media Planner. The Planner will report to the Sr. Director, Digital Marketing to provide campaign management support. The Planner will be directly involved in the full advertising cycle across all College Board programs: campaign brief, media planning, execution, optimization, reporting and analysis. Campaign channels include: Display, 3rd party email, social media, retargeting, affiliate marketing, and content marketing.

  • Essential Functions/Responsibilities 
  • Develop and execute campaigns
  • Collaborate with Sr. Director on the development of media plans
  • Develop and edit content
  • Gather ad specifications, collect creative assets, release assets to partners/vendors
  • Create landing pages gather feedback and approvals on creative assets
  • Develop and execute AB tests and perform QA on ad creative to ensure specifications are met
  • Monitor campaign performance and communicate with Director regarding delivery, investment or optimization
  • Resolve technical and performance issues
  • Track and launch campaigns

 Report and analyze campaign performance

  • Daily tracking of ad spends and budgets
  • Serve as point of contact for advertising partners and internal departments
  • Resolve any tracking and reporting discrepancies with Analytics and/or partners/vendors
  • Optimize campaign performance based on KPIs
  • Develop post-campaign reports including samples, highlights and recommendations

 Provide operational support

  • Process new insertion orders and revisions into management system
  • Maintain/Create/Update monthly campaign media plans schedules
  • Assist the billing department with campaign information and reports
  • Identify and communicate any issues related to creative and campaigns
  • Identify process inefficiencies and ways to improve operations workflow
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to help grow College Board’s digital efforts
  • Help research and implement new digital advertising technologies, Ad Ops processes, and alternative advertising products
  • The position will require collaboration with multiple departments including direct marketing, communications, editorial, and brand

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years digital media advertisement operations experience
  • Ad Agency experience preferred
  • Media planning and reporting experience required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
  • Fluency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Demonstrates initiative; anticipates needs of business and responds accordingly
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills-able to work on multiple projects
  • Reprioritize as needed and consistently deliver on time
  • Solid understanding of online advertising processes
  • Creative and copy writing skills (samples will be requested during the interview process)
  • Understanding of rich media, dynamic creative, mobile and video ads units
  • Must be outgoing, proactive, friendly, and work well under pressure
  • Genuine curiosity with how things work
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, measurement and analysis
  • Teen and/or education sector experience a plus

 Experience in the following systems/tools

  • Adobe Analytics Suite required
  • Omni-cloud marketing platform such as Salesforce preferred
