The College Board, the national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Clinical Manager, SSD for our Operations department. This position is based in our New York office.

Within Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD), assists the Director of Compliance and the Senior Director, Case Management with all activities associated with evaluating students’ disability documentation. Includes providing input into reviews of disability documentation to determine student eligibility for accommodations on College Board tests (e.g., nonstandard testing for the SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests; AP; PSAT/NMSQT), as well as monitoring/auditing and providing technical assistance to  secondary schools on disability documentation and appropriate accommodations for College Board tests. Also serves as a resource to the SSD staff in understanding psycho-educational assessment.

What you’ll do

  • Assists SSD Directors in conducting cross program reviews of documentation from students seeking accommodations on College Board tests; assists in monitoring and providing technical assistance to schools; and coordination with ETS in processing eligibility requests and decisions.
  • Is available, during peak accommodation request periods, for additional work hours sufficient to ensure the completion of all determinations in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for database management and continuous database initiatives to enhance the accuracy of information, statistical reporting and to ensure the effectiveness, quality assurance and efficiency of the eligibility process.
  • Participates in producing materials that provide information relevant to accommodations on College Board tests. Prepares presentations and other materials for training in relation to the program.
  • Develops print and web-based educational tools and resources to be used for training and professional development of in-house CB staff and education professionals (schools, psychologists, etc), SSD publications review, interactive web SSD processing activities, connections with national disability resources.
  • Handles direct verbal and written communications, including provision of technical assistance seminars/webinars/discussions, with secondary schools, education professionals (counselors, psychologists, etc.) and parents/students relevant to decisions and policy issues, including providing training of state education officials and administrators and secondary school staff on requesting and administering accommodations for/on College Board assessments.
  • Maintains communication with relevant professional organizations to ensure that the College Board's perceptions and understanding of psycho-educational disability issues are current.
  • Conducts accessibility audits of digital products to ensure compliance with regulatory and College Board standards under direction of ACO staff members.

About you

  • Graduate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in a psychological/educational assessment related field.
  • Applicants should have at least 4 to 6 years of direct work experience as a professional in the practice of psychological/ educational assessment in secondary school or postsecondary level.
